How much do Airport taxi transfers cost?

This is of course, the big question.
Here at Send a car, we offer fixed fee quotes for all UK airports. What we quote is the fee we’ll stand by. All bills can be settled in advance of the journey via debit/credit cards so you know thats one job ticked off the list.

Most of the emails start with a quote request.
We do what we can to stay competetive but there are of course charges beyond our control that we tend to include at the quote stage rather than pass on to the customer last minute. We feel this adds clarity and helps you know what is going on, rather than have to deal with last minute charges and unexpected alterations to plans.

We’ll use East Midlands Airport as an example.
East Midlands Airport, a stones throw from Derby and with destinations across the world, its always a great start for adventures.
East Midlands Airport charges a both a drop off and a pick up fee. This cost is included in the quote we’ll give to you so you will pay a single, agreed upon fee. We’ll pick you up in the same ‘drop off’ area we left you so it isn’t too confusing.
Should you wish for a meet and greet service, just let us know and we can be in the arrivals lounge to say hello, help you with your bags and get you out and onwards home. Meet and greets, we’ll be in the short stay car park. This is a little further to walk than the rapid drop point so be prepared. Again, meet and greet services are inlcuded in the quote we’ll offer you so no hidden charges will raise their heads.

Now for us, this way of working will be the same for all UK airports. The parking charges will be included at the begining so you can plan accordingly and compare quotes from different providers. Be it Heathrow or Birmimgham, Manchester or Luton, The car park charges for jobs we quote on include that car park/ pick up/ drop off fee.

However, when checking any estimates, have a look to see whats what as you may get a low ball offer, but it might not include the car park cost. Some of the larger firms and ride hail apps state the fee is included, but the driver may ask again at the exit barrier for you to pay. If you are ready and eqquiped with the right information at the start, this shouldn’t happen.
